Linux Open Issues

SmartRM, as already said, is in BETA version on Linux/Ubuntu and you’ll easily encounter a segmentation fault on Registration phase (due some troubles with Java FF plugin). Please:

  • remove the “~/.SmartRMClient” and “~/.Smartrm” folders
  • start Firefox in safe-mode (from a terminal digit “firefox -safe-mode”)
  • start again Firefox in normal mode

    • If you encountering a segmentation fault Playing a content, we suggest to

  • start Firefox in safe-mode (from a terminal digit “firefox -safe-mode”)
  • start again Firefox in normal mode

    • Please NOTE that the 64bit version is not yet fully tested… we encourage our users to submit a bug if some troubles are reached in this scenario
