The SmartRM software allows you to convert your audio tracks, videos and documents into protected MPEG-21 files that can be shared with the rest of the world. This is done on your computer, you do not need to send your files anywhere for this to happen, your valuable files will never leave your hard disk. When you create a protected content for someone else, our server will only receive your instructions, and will enable the people you have selected to open your file according to the conditions that you have specified.

You can now send the protected file generated by the SmartRM software to the people you want as you like (e.g. as an email attachment, through the chat, on a USB stick or through our server). Only those people that YOU have selected will be able to open the file and see what it contains.

There is no password involved. What happens if your friend passes the protected file to someone else? It will happen what YOU have decided: if originally enabled by you, he may use it as you have specified. If not, he may ask you the permission to open it and you will decide what to do!
